The Faculty Co-Director of the Honors Council and/or Honors Council Members will confer with the honors student and faculty mentor on the thesis/project as needed and will approve the student’s Thesis/Project approval upon recommendation from the faculty mentor and committee.

A member of the Honors Council will serve on the honors students' committees to ensure the qualities of the Thesis/Projects are in alignment with the COEHP Honors Council requirements.

The Honors Council will ensure that the student's final Thesis/Project meets the expectations of the College of Education and Health Professions Honors Program and will approve the final Thesis/ Project on recommendation of the faculty mentor and committee.

The Honors Council may award an Outstanding Honors Thesis Award to students who have excelled in this process and be recognized at the COEHP Honors Convocation.
